Support Our School

There are many ways that parents can support our school: donations of time, talents, materials and financial support are all necessary. We are thankful for the generous support from the parent and family community that enables the PTSA to provide academic and enrichment programs for our students.

The PTSA’s annual operating budget is primarily funded through the PTSA Membership Campaign and various Fundraisers throughout the school year. A successful Membership Campaign allows us to reduce the number of fundraisers we need to hold during the year.

Volunteer

We have a number of Committee Chair positions available and ask that you consider volunteering your time and talents to making Pacific Grove Middle School the best in Monterey County.

PTSA Membership Campaign

Membership dues help support or sponsor the cost of our programs, which directly benefit all students. The suggested tax deductible donation amount is $25 per individual. Help us achieve our goal of 100% membership.

Mix and Mingle

Mix and Mingle is a fun adult mixer and silent auction held in conjunction with Robert Down Elementary PTA, Forest Grove PTA and Pacific Grove High Schoo. All revenue generated is shared equally amongst the schools. Past items have included AT&T golf tickets, rounds of golf, tennis memberships, wine tasting, fitness classes, sightseeing tours, Lake Tahoe vacations and too many gift cards to local shops and restaurants to count. Donations for silent auction items are always welcome and appreciated!

Butterfly Bazaar

The Annual Butterfly Bazaar is held  after the Butterfly Parade at Robert Down Elementary. Join us for family fun, games and activities, cake walk, bake sale, food trucks and PGMS and High School band performances and lots of Pacific Grove spirit! There are also plenty of volunteer opportunities for adults and middle schoolers who need volunteer hours.

Dine Out

Local restaurants donate a portion of your order back to the school. It is also a great way to connect with people you may not normally see outside of school. Plus, take a night off from cooking and doing dishes—its a win-win for everyone.

Spring Rummage Sale

Donate your gently used items to the PTSA and we will sell them for you — you get to clean out your garage and closets and PGMS PTSA gets a donation. Interested in selling your own items? Reserve a space for $10 in advance or $20 day event.

8th Grade Promotion

The PTSA provides some funding for 8th Grade promotion to high school, but we need your support in order to send 8th graders off in style. We need your generous support for the following items.

  • 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony: decorations and supplies

  • 8th Grade Promotion Dance Party: food, DJ, photographer
  • 8th Grade “Breakfast in the Park” on last day of school 9 am – breakfast for all students
